Everytime I see you my heart fills with desire
But somewhere in transition you lost that fire
You said I do with a smile and a tear
But look at us now it hasn't even been a year
You say you've lost that lovin feelin'
I stand in amazement not believing what I'm hearin'
Anger and fear build up inside me
What have I not done to keep you happy
Maybe I tried to hard maybe not enough
Or maybe you just got scared when times got tough
Whatever it is we must press on
In your eyes I can see the love is not gone
I have become the scapegoat for all your troubles
Never letting go so the anger just doubles
Holding that rage from all our past fights
Making for many restless nights

Time To Settle Down

So now it is time to settle down
Finally found the one to wear my crown
The partner to whom I will give my all |

The one who will catch me if I begin to fall
Heather E. Keesee will be my queen
To even look for another would be obscene
The sound of her voice brightens my day
To know in my heart she is the one I will never betray
To build a life with her is my dream
Taking all of my feelings to the extreme
Living in happiness for the rest of our life
Helping each other through our times of strife
So now we are talking about how we will marry
Something I've always thought to be far too scary
Talking about colors, dates, and places
Trying to make sure that we cover all the bases
Thinking about those who will stand beside us
Preparing ourselves for the oncoming stress
Figuring out whom we should invite
Joining families and friends hoping they don't fight
So much preparation is going to be necessary
To make sure all attendees are happy and merry
But these steps I am will to take
For this glorious occasion we are trying to make
The questioned has been asked if I'm really sure
Are you positive you have never had these feelings before
To this I will answer without hesitation

The world stops spinning when I look in your eyes
Your touch breaks apart my tough man disguise
I used to wonder would I every find my perfect mate
And if I would how long would I have to wait
But everyday when I look at your face
Uncontrollably my heart begins to race
I can't help but smile when I hear your voice
And when you say I Love You I just want to rejoice
To the top of the highest mountain is where I want to go
Where I could scream to let the whole world know
"This is my best friend, my lover, and my life
This is the one who will become my wife!"
Our hopes and dreams are one in the same
With your head up high you will carry my name
We will build a life with this great foundation
Best friend and lover with unmatched dedication
If one of us should ever stumble and fall
Or the weight on our shoulders force us to crawl

I've always believed you can't control love
Especially for the one sent from heaven above
Healthy and fit to sick and dying
Laughing and dancing to lonely crying
Obese or thin, rich or poor
It doesn't matter as long as the love is pure
This is the love that I have found in you
The one thing in my life I know to be true
The touch of your lips and the smile on your face
Is a feeling that no other could ever replace
You're that constant drive that gets me through the day
That's why for you each night I pray
That you would wake up and the pain would be gone
Even if it all had to be withdrawn
And bestowed solely upon me to hold inside
This feeling of hurt I would keep with pride
To see you cheerful and laughing as you deserve to
A feeling for you that's way overdue
Would be reward enough for my pain
You would never hear me grumble or complain
But since I do not have this healing power
To let this pain have me to devour
By your side I will be day and night
Trying to relieve some of your plight

One question constantly runs through my head
I know I'm not the first to which you've said
"I love you baby and I always will
With you by my side my dreams are fulfilled"
How many times have these words been spoken?
Only to have your heart be broken
When I look in your eyes I see years of pain
Your heart, mind, and soul put through such strain
I feel you looking at me waiting to see
If I'm going to become afraid and flee
You think that a love like mine is to good to be true
That when you wake up I will have left you
I watch you sleep when we cuddle at night
You constantly toss as if you're in a fight
Against every bad person that's been in your life
The ones who have put you through such strife
I then gently kiss your cheek and tell you I'm here
Everything's gonna be alright because I love you dear
I wonder who's voice you hear in your dream
Is it mine or one from the past that fell from your scheme?
I wonder if you're just settling for the one that is there
Or am I the answer to all your prayers
Have you ever felt this strongly towards another man?
One of the ones who packed up and ran
Have you ever promised your heart forever?
Only to have it completely severed
If you have then this you must know
I love you so much and each day it does grow

Me And You Against The World

This is to my best friend and my lover
The one that I've found to be like no other
From the start it has been an uphill battle
Others constantly testing us to see if we'll rattle
Friends became foes right from the start
Trying there hardest to tear us apart
It seemed like they've forgotten who we are
They'll just find another friend in a bar
Then came the illness that won't go away
That has put us both through such dismay
Both of us scared about what it may be
I'm worried about you, as you are about me
Next was the father that came from nowhere
Gone for five years but now wants to be there
Hasty decisions and harsh words made us fight
Which was the cause of a few restless nights
The family then all the sudden became involved
With solutions for our problems that couldn't be solved
I just became another voice in the crowd
I learned then it's better to talk then to get loud
Now is the fight between Daughter and Mother
It's easy to see that both of you love her
This wide-eyed child from heaven above
That no matter where she may be, is showered with love
Through all of these tough times we have stuck it out
Each of us learning what the others about
Each struggle we will conquer together
Makes the words I love you Heather
More meaningful each and everyday
To all of my "friends" I just want to say
"My life now is the best it's ever been
I've found my soul mate, I'm ready for life to begin"
As long as I have you by my side
I can't take any problem or criticism in stride
No matter what situation becomes unfurled

I see the way he treats you bad
I've learned it doesn't help to get mad
I see all you need is some affection
But you have to fight for a little attention
I see how hard you have to fight
Just to make it a peaceful night
It hurts me so deep inside
To see the person to which I confide
Have her heart broken day in and day out
To look deep in her eyes and watch her pout
Is like knives stabbing deep in my heart
I could never imagine a person pulling us apart
To love her to hold her is all I need
To have that push thats drives me to succeed
To make the best life for us
I'm sure would make an incredible fuss
But thats the risk I'm willing to take
For the only love I've known thats not fake.
